DCCEEW confirms 30 June 2027 sunset for EPBC Act Regional Forest Agreement exemptions

On 30 June 2027, thirty years of statutory exemptions for regional forestry operations will officially end. From 1 July 2027, every forestry operation across Australia must meet standard federal assessment requirements under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth).
