Groundwater Hydrocarbon Sheen vs. Measurable LNAPL

Clear, practical guidance for site owners, developers and environmental managers on recognising a hydrocarbon sheen versus measurable LNAPL in groundwater, when a risk-based duty to notify regulators can be triggered in Australia, and how to manage next steps to reduce transaction, development and compliance risk.

Environmental Delineation Investigation at Industrial Site in Northwest Sydney

cleanout access

iEnvi completed a Delineation Investigation (DI) at an aerosol and paint manufacturing site in northwest Sydney. The DI installed three groundwater monitoring wells, 13 soil bores and two stormwater points, collecting 8 groundwater, 39 soil and 2 stormwater samples. Findings showed minor soil hydrocarbons (one local exceedance), groundwater elevated dissolved metals likely related to background geochemistry, and isolated vapour-intrusion exceedances — prompting targeted sub‑slab vapour testing and further risk-management recommendations to meet NSW EPA expectations.

Groundwater Sampling at Ski Lodge, Perisher Valley (NSW)

Snowy Mountains groundwater

Low‑flow groundwater monitoring was completed at a decommissioned underground petroleum storage site in Perisher Valley. Results identified no ecological or human‑health groundwater risk; recommendations and compliance notes provided for property transactions in Snowy Mountains National Park.

Remediation of Coatings Manufacturer Site, Western Sydney

groundwater remediation

iEnvi provided a site-specific, commercially focused remediation program for a Western Sydney coatings manufacturer, combining UST removal, source-zone treatment and a four-month Multiphase Vapour Extraction campaign to manage solvent impacts and restore asset value.

Simple UPSS Petroleum Contamination Groundwater Remediation Solution for Council Depot, Central‑Northern NSW

Low Flow Groundwater Sampling

Practical, cost‑conscious remediation and long‑term management of petroleum contamination at Council depots using a monitored natural attenuation (MNA)‑led strategy supported by targeted product removal, hydrogeological testing and fate‑and‑transport modelling.
